Apple iPhone 14 camera specifications have been leaked again, and the device’s design may include a larger bulge.

According to a recent report, the Apple iPhone 14 could have a 48-megapixel camera on the back, which could explain why the bump is becoming bigger.
If speculations are to be accepted, the Apple iPhone 14 will be a significant upgrade above prior versions. The iPhone 14 is said to include a 48-megapixel camera setup on the back, and according to some rumors from September the year before, the iPhone 14 will be the first in years to do away with the camera bulge. However, a new source contradicts this, claiming that the bump will be significantly larger this time due to the 48-megapixel sensor.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst, the iPhone 14 Pro will have a greater camera bump than the iPhone 13 Pro. The adjustment, which contradicts a small number of earlier leaks, could be due to camera improvements, such as a 48-megapixel camera sensor in a bigger form factor, according to Kuo. According to him, the 48-megapixel sensor’s diagonal length would expand by 25 to 35 percent, and the height of the sensor’s 7P lens will increase by 5 to 10%.
Kuo’s estimate on the camera design change is diametrically opposed to what leaked last year. According to rumors from September last year, the iPhone 14 & iPhone 14 Pro would not have a camera hump, will also have a punch-hole structure rather than a notch, will have a rounded volume button such as the old iPhone 4, and will be made of titanium. These are significant changes, but given Apple’s proclivity for not making large design changes all at once, some of them could not materialize. Whereas the camera bump does not go away, Kuo believes it will become even more obvious by just being larger than before.
It’s unclear whether Apple ditched last year’s rumored design in favor of a more familiar one, or if a makeover was never in the cards in the first place. In any way, the iPhone 14 will introduce some design modifications. It’s only that, based on what Kuo stated, they might not be as radical as they once were.
The camera increase may go overlooked because the design is nearly identical to the iPhone 13, but one tweak could be the most significant. Instead of a notch, the iPhone 14 is rumored to have a punch-hole design. Customers may have mixed feelings about the notch at first, either liking it or hating it but eventually growing accustomed to it. The punch-hole design, in and of itself, has sparked controversy. While some rumors claim the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a single punch-hole, others claim Apple is considering a new design in which a pill-shaped cutout and a punch-hole will sit next to each other on the display. According to the same rumors, this design would allow Apple to remove Face ID sensors and easily pair the camera with them during the absence of a notch.
Kuo is a reliable source of knowledge about new iPhones, so if his predictions come true later this year, you’ll see a 48-megapixel camera in a larger camera bump on an iPhone for the first time.
