Copyright infringement strikes Bollywood once more: KGF 2 is now available on the internet.
On April 14, the highly awaited film KGF: Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel, was released in theatres. The film is an action thriller starring Yash and Sanjay Dutt in the key roles. Fans, critics, and the general public have been wowed by Yash and Sanjay Dutt’s performances in the film, which has received acclaim from all sectors. However, the film was apparently leaked on piracy sites such as Tamilrockers and Movierulz barely hours after it was released in theatres. It can now be downloaded for free via torrent websites.
On April 13, one day before the film’s release, KGF 2 director Prashanth Neel wrote on his Twitter account, “8 years of blood, sweat, and tears have gone into providing you all KGF.” We strongly encourage you to record yourself seeing KGF Chapter 2 in the theatres and post them to the internet. Let us all enjoy the grandeur of KGF in theatres and spoil it for others who are waiting to see it.” “The fight against piracy begins with you!” he had written below the note. Please do not shoot movies or images with the intention of not putting them online! PIRACY MUST BE REJECTED.”
Previously, Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated film Beast and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise – Part I were leaked on multiple platforms, including Movierulz, Telegram, and Tamilrockers, within hours of their respective release dates of April 13, 2022 and December 19, 2021.
Many Bollywood films have been affected by piracy, including Ranveer Singh’s 83, Salman Khan’s Antim: The Final Truth, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, and Ahan Shetty’s Tadap, which were all released in theatres.
